We keep things nice and down-to-earth with each other. We’re on first-name terms, support each other when needed and, if there’s time, talk football! We’re one big team and don’t think in terms of clients and customers.
The project in detail
Funding as the engine for growth and sustainability.
-
The cooperation between Schuurman Schoenen and Ignite Group began with the application for the SLIM scheme (the Dutch grant for learning and development in SMEs).
-
We applied for the scheme twice: once for setting up the basic academy and a second time for an in-depth round on leadership. Both projects were so successful that we continued the cooperation with Ignite Group for subsequent projects.
-
That was followed, among other things, by successful applications for the EIA and MIA schemes (Dutch tax allowances for energy-saving and environmentally friendly investments). Thanks to these grants, Schuurman Schoenen was able to make several buildings more sustainable, with a large heat pump and roof insulation among other measures.
-
In 2024, Schuurman Schoenen then used the MDIEU grant to focus on developing its staff for the coming two years. This started projects aimed at vitality, intensive support for the thirty employees of the sheltered workshop, host and hostess training, and extra attention for onboarding and mentoring.
