Ignite Group begins in Nijverdal as a specialised funding advisory for innovation-driven companies. The initial focus is on tax-based innovation incentives and funding programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises. From the beginning, one conviction is at the centre: good ideas deserve financing, but successful funding requires expertise, structure and proximity to the project.

The company grows into an established funding advisory with around 20 employees. The work remains close to the SME sector, while becoming broader in expertise: step by step, programme specialisation develops into a deeper understanding of innovation projects, development processes and the needs of companies.

The digital funding knowledge base becomes increasingly important. This period marks the emergence of the platform logic around vindsubsidies.nl: funding information is captured more systematically, made more accessible and connected more closely with advisory services. This begins a development that still defines Ignite today: funding advisory becomes stronger not only through experience, but also through data, structure and digital tools.

A specialised funding advisory increasingly develops into a full-service organisation. Advisory services expand from individual national programmes to regional, national and European funding instruments. Funding is no longer seen as a single application, but as a strategic financing component for innovation, investment and growth.

With SilverTree joining as an investor, a new growth phase begins. Ignite Group further expands its European presence and brings together specialised funding expertise, digital solutions and scalable processes in one group. The goal remains the same: making more funding potential visible for customers, reducing internal effort and making public funding usable in an audit-ready way.

Ignite Group expands into Germany. With the location in St. Ingbert/Saarbrücken, the group becomes more international and adds deep funding expertise in the German market. This creates a stronger European network for companies that want to use public funding at regional, national and European level.
