Grant tracking: two processes, two systems
The grant process is often treated as one thing. In practice there are two very different processes.
Receiving grants means keeping track of what has been applied for, awarded and delivered. Awarding grants means running a scheme: taking applications, assessing them and accounting for the outcome.
We support both, each with its own system.
SAS: tracking the grants you receive
SAS gives a clear overview of every grant requested, awarded and ongoing within your organisation. It is built for organisations that make heavy use of funding and want the whole picture rather than individual files.
SVS-UIT: administering the grants you award
SVS-UIT is a web-based system for organisations that distribute funding themselves. It fits seamlessly onto your standard grant process. It is straightforward to roll out across departments and carries a full rights and roles structure. Employees also have continuous access to real-time management information.
-
SVS-UIT offers applicants a streamlined process: the complete application journey and the assessment questions that arise during it. All interactions with the system are recorded automatically.
-
For the staff running a scheme, SVS-UIT simplifies assessment through automatic checks. They can also create new schemes themselves, and dashboards keep the full overview in one place. When each scheme is set up, the functions to be used are agreed in advance, so the process does not become more complicated than it needs to be.
-
The system can be connected to systems you already use, including case management, financial systems, SAP environments and authorisation services such as DigiD and eHerkenning. Documents are stored centrally and securely in real time, which reduces the risk of data loss when staff change roles.
Implementation and support
Implementation runs in phases that overlap, starting with a check of the requirements. We analyse the current grant process and tailor the setup to it. After go-live the contact continues, with technical and substantive support through our helpdesk.
In practice
Personal Strategy Call
The city of Delft moved from using spreadsheets to SVS-UIT and now runs SVS 3.0. According to the city, the system gives real-time insight into the grant process, information on outcomes and clear accountability. Delft was involved in the further development of SVS-UIT together with the city of Eindhoven, with recommendations from both cities feeding into the new version.
