SaJo Consulting. From an idea on a walk to a funding application.

The goal of the project is to provide AI services that are trustworthy, keep data secure and can be run entirely within the customers‘ existing infrastructure.

SaJo Consulting GmbH is a consultancy for complex IT projects based in Saarlouis. It was founded in 2020 by Managing Director Sascha Jostock, who brings around three decades of experience in software development for large companies.

SaJo Consulting supports its customers along the entire development process for bespoke software solutions, from requirements analysis through project planning, development and test management to the rollout and operation of the software. With commercial understanding, methodological strength and close collaboration, the company develops tailor-made solutions for complex requirements and helps its customers integrate innovative technologies successfully into their business processes.

SaJo Consulting set out to develop an innovative AI platform that gives companies secure and trustworthy access to AI technologies. One central aspect: sensitive company data should not be transferred to external cloud providers or abroad, but remain entirely within the customers‘ existing infrastructure. Alongside the technological development, however, the question of suitable financing options for an innovation project of this kind also arose. Like many technology-driven companies, SaJo Consulting has extensive expertise in software development, but not detailed knowledge of public funding programmes.

Managing Director Sascha Jostock describes it like this: “I personally had no idea at all which documents have to be filled in, which conditions apply or what can be funded in the first place. Ignite Group was of course a great help there.”

Alongside the formal application, the Ignite team brought additional ideas into the project planning and helped sharpen individual aspects of the planned platform.

The collaboration between SaJo Consulting GmbH and Ignite Group was marked by close exchange and personal advice. The structured support through the funding process allowed the company to shape the route to financing its innovation project more clearly and more efficiently. For SaJo Consulting GmbH, using public funding has since become an important part of its innovation strategy. For future projects too, the company plans to keep drawing on the expertise of Ignite Group in order to advance new technologies and develop innovative solutions for its customers.
