- Energy, Environment & Sustainability Generation, storage, hydrogen and efficiency. The densest and fastest-changing funding landscape of the eight.
- Life Sciences & Health Long development cycles without revenue. The development phase decides the instrument more than anywhere else.
- Food, Agriculture & Bioeconomy Agricultural policy, innovation funding and environmental schemes interlock. The classification decides the instrument.
- Mobility & Logistics Drivetrains, charging infrastructure and connected logistics. Development and procurement follow separate funding routes.
