Boujis breaks into Barcelona

Vibrant, vivid and achingly glamorous Barcelona is the latest major city to play host to the Ignite Group’s legendary Boujis, as the A-listers’ favourite nightclub has opened the doors of a brand new permanent venue in the Catalonian capital in November 2013. As well as bringing its own unique brand of royalty-approved nightlife to the majestic Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district with a glitzy new nightclub, the exclusive venue will also include a stand-out restaurant and cocktail bar serving Boujis’ luxury signature concoctions.

The Spanish opening in Barcelona’s best nightlife territory comes hot on the heels of Boujis Hong Kong’s triumphant 2012 launch, as well as the group’s hugely successful four year running of Eclipse cocktail bar in W Barcelona. Boujis’ legendary status among the showbiz elite is stronger than ever, with Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Cara Delevingne, Will Smith and Connor Cruise among the many influential celebrities to come through its doors in recent months.

Matt Hermer, Founder and CEO of Ignite Group commented, “Barcelona is a fun, glamorous city that takes its nightlife seriously. We’ve had amazing success with Eclipse in W Barcelona and are delighted to open Boujis Barcelona right in the heart of the action. We can’t wait to introduce the famous Boujis brand to a whole host of new fans.” Boujis boasts a reputation for serving divine cocktails, and the Barcelona venue includes a dedicated cocktail bar serving the brand’s signature drinks, including the new sharing cocktail Boujis ‘b’, its famous Crack Baby and Faboujis Egg concoctions, prepared by multi-award winning mixologist Carlos Reyes.

Selected, established labels will star as the house serves, alongside spirits sourced from around the globe. Crystal, Louis Roederer and Ace of Spades will feature on the menu, along with Belvedere Vodka, Patron Tequila and Tanqueray 10 Gin. Barcelona guests will be able to enjoy food served to the highest standard in partnership with Becquer, a Mediterranean concept with Michelin awarded chef Montse Estruch. The menu will consist of traditional Catalan and Spanish food and will be served in the venue’s stylish restaurant space, which will operate with a separate entrance to the club. With a flurry of famous names expected to descend on the new European venue, the club has 18 VIP tables, where guests can mingle, dance and enjoy RnB, Hip Hop and the latest hits from the charts. The cocktail bar will have its own vibe as guests will relax and enjoy new disco and deep house music.

The interior of the 400-capacity luxury venue is contemporary and fresh, combining comfort and luxury in the restaurant with accent colours and feature lighting in the club and cocktail bar.
