Julian Theis has been working as a consultant at Ignite Group since 2024. He holds a master’s degree (M.Sc.) and a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in materials science and engineering from Saarland University. His technical studies have given him a deep understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and industrial development processes—an essential foundation for evaluating and supporting research and development projects.

At Ignite Group, Julian primarily advises companies in the area of research allowances. His technical focus is on the technical and content-related evaluation of R&D projects and the structured preparation of development activities relevant for funding. In addition, he is a member of the QM Circle for Research Allowances and is actively involved in quality assurance and the further development of internal processes.

Thanks to his education and practical experience, Julian has in-depth knowledge of additive manufacturing, particularly in the areas of SLM (selective laser melting), PECM, post-processing, and general manufacturing technology. His strong time and stress management skills enable him to handle projects in a structured and efficient manner. He supports companies across all industries in presenting their innovation achievements in a comprehensible manner and successfully claiming them within the framework of the research allowance.

Outside of his professional life, Julian is a passionate mountain biker and road cyclist, and enjoys working with his hands. His practical approach to technology and construction therefore accompanies him outside of his everyday working life.
