As a Consultant within Ignite Group, Maarten is part of the Public Team. He is an experienced and creative consultant deeply engaged with various societal issues and developments. As a public administrator, Maarten primarily works with government bodies on European subsidies. Currently, he serves as the Program Secretary for Interreg NSR and NWE at the Province of Overijssel. In addition, Maarten, in collaboration with colleagues from the Province of Overijssel, maps out European funds broadly for diverse themes such as circular economy, energy, and mobility. Since 2018, Maarten has been involved as a project advisor in the Interreg NSR project INDU-ZERO, where he advises the Province of Overijssel, in its role as lead partner, on subsidy conditions, finances, and reporting.

Creative and Critical Thinking

Maarten also serves as a subsidy coordinator within Noaberkracht for the municipalities of Dinkelland and Tubbergen. In this role, he advises the administrative organization on optimizing the use of subsidy opportunities. Additionally, Maarten is involved as a project advisor in the Interreg VA project Kanalallee Denekamp – Nordhorn, where he advises the municipality of Dinkelland, in its role as lead partner, on subsidy conditions and reporting. Maarten’s strengths lie in his well-developed writing skills, strong project management abilities, and his creative and critical thinking.

Maarten studied Public Administration at the University of Twente, earning his MSc in 2011.
