As a consultant at Ignite Group, Amaya Vorsteveld is part of the NL-EU team. Within this team, she enhances the specialization in Life Sciences & Health based on her completed Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Amsterdam (MSc, 2021). During her studies, Amaya delved into the functioning of the human body in both disease and health, with a focus on immunology and cancer research. She further broadened her expertise with a major in Science Communication, exploring the interplay between science and society and developing her passion for writing and communicating research in an understandable and engaging way.

Ignite Group provides Amaya the opportunity to combine her biomedical background with essential Science Communication skills, aiming to generate funding for groundbreaking research and exciting new innovations in Life Sciences & Health. Additionally, in this role, she can nurture her broad interests and curiosity through diverse projects and funding schemes, both nationally and across Europe.
