Matthias Brucke is a techie from the very beginning, an innovator and a networker. He has been involved with information technology and the Internet since 1982 and has worked in management positions in research for 15 years. His favourite challenges are mastering complexity and enabling change. His areas of expertise include innovation and transformation, as well as digitalisation in applications such as Industry 4.0 and smart cities/smart regions. In addition to his deep understanding of technology, his particular strength lies in his excellent network of contacts among intelligent people in a wide range of specialist fields. He is a lecturer, consultant for various German and European funding programmes and an active volunteer in various associations and organisations.
