Katerina Gaitanoglou not only has international roots, but also brings a wealth of experience from the tech and sales world.

Growing up as one of seven children in a Greek immigrant family, she learned early on to take responsibility and combine complex interrelationships with empathy and structure.

After studying English, Ancient Greek, and Orthodox Theology at the RUB University and the Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster, she took the plunge into the tech industry in 2019.

She started at an IT outsourcing company in Wuppertal, where she was immediately involved in a Europe-wide sales project for Hitachi Vantara as part of the first inside sales team in EMEA. Further positions took her to Microsoft projects and later to a Swedish trusted service provider in the field of remote identification and qualified electronic signatures. There, she was involved in business development from the outset and played a key role in accompanying the start-up through its scale-up phase. She worked in various market segments, particularly in fintech and HR, and was involved in identifying and developing strategic partner structures.

She joined the Ignite Group in 2024 and, as Sales Manager, is responsible for the successful market entry and positioning of the German funding portal in the municipal sector.

Katerina does not see sales as merely pursuing targets, but as strategic, ethically sound relationship building. She is solution-oriented, data-driven, and works with genuine conviction to create sustainable results for clients and partners.

In her free time, she is involved in child and youth work, loves creative writing, and enjoys traveling.
