Hendrik Holzmann has been part of the Ignite Group since March 2026. As Network Manager, he oversees client projects within our ZIM innovation networks. He completed his PhD in 2023 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU Darmstadt, focusing on energy harvesting in vibrating aircraft structures. During and after his PhD, he worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Society.

Thanks to several years of research work, he brings technical expertise in the fields of structural dynamics, acoustics and electromechanical transducer materials (including piezoceramics and ferroelectrics). His methodological focus has been on finite element modelling and simulation, as well as digital twins and machine learning. Hendrik has gained project experience across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, construction, power plant turbines and medical technology.

Prior to joining the Ignite Group, Hendrik was already responsible for the entire lifecycle of research projects – from ideation and application for various funding programmes through to project execution and operational management.
