She holds a degree in Textile Engineering with a focus on polymer chemistry as well as material and process development, and brings many years of experience in industry‑driven and application‑oriented research. Her work is rooted at the intersection of innovation and practice, where scientific insights are translated into market‑ready solutions.

Her areas of expertise include technical textiles and smart materials, applications in medical technology and orthopaedics, as well as sensor technology and electronic integration. In addition, she has extensive experience with plastics and composites and a strong focus on sustainability‑driven product and portfolio development. This includes the use of recyclates, mono‑material concepts and process optimisation across the entire value chain.

At Ignite, she works as an Innovation Manager, where she is responsible for the holistic planning, coordination and implementation of funded innovation projects. A particular focus lies on projects within the ZIM funding programme, supporting companies in navigating the entire funding process in a structured and efficient manner.
