Rik is an eager and resourceful consultant with a strong passion for innovation. He is particularly drawn to concepts such as technology, digitalization, and the energy transition. In his role, he helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) innovate by screening for subsidy opportunities, leveraging these opportunities through writing subsidy applications, and guiding the client throughout the entire process. Rik takes satisfaction in completing tasks to the highest standard and as agreed. His creativity, perseverance, language skills, and communication abilities make him a driven consultant.

As a consultant at Ignite Group, Rik is part of the Innovation Team. This team provides support to organizations shaping the future, with frequent interactions with innovative companies developing the latest products and processes. Rik works to develop innovative cases with clients so that subsidies can be applied for, thereby stimulating innovation and contributing to a better, safer, and more sustainable society. Rik specializes in the WBSO scheme but is also familiar with other schemes, such as EIA, MIA/VAMIL, MIT, and SDE.

Rik studied Innovation Sciences at Utrecht University (MSc in 2020).
