Rens is a consultant within the Innovation Team at Ignite Group. This team focuses on fiscal regulations, including WBSO, EIA, MIA, VEKI, BIK, and SDE+, for innovative companies in Eastern Netherlands.

Raised in a small village on the outskirts of Nijmegen in a family of self-employed entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship has been ingrained in him from an early age. Rens studied Business Administration (Management, Economics, and Law) at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda. He also gained brief technical experience through studies in mechanical engineering and various internships and research projects at major companies in the chemical process technology and automotive industries. In his role as a consultant at Ignite Group, Rens combines his affinity for technology and engineering with his knowledge of business administration to support innovative companies.

In addition to various fiscal incentives, Rens has recently gained substantial experience as a subsidy consultant, seizing opportunities across a wide range of funding schemes such as MIT feasibility and R&D collaboration projects, DHI scheme, SLIM, MKB!dee, SBIR, Innovations for Sustainable Inland Shipping, Sustainable Employability, EIC Accelerator, ISDE, and various regional schemes. With great enthusiasm, a hands-on mentality, and a personal touch, he supports numerous companies from A to Z in their subsidy processes.
