Ramona-Maria Wehowsky is currently completing her studies in business law and is aiming to obtain a Master of Laws (LL.M), a postgraduate academic degree in law. This degree allows her to specialize in a specific area of law and is usually obtained after completing a first degree in law. She has specialized in insolvency law. Prior to this, she successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in international business administration.
She began her career at the Ignite Group, then known as DORUCON, as a working student. She then moved to a full-time position as a researcher in the Digital Services department, where she continues to work today while pursuing her studies. She was the first German employee of the Ignite Group to be involved in the project to establish a funding portal. Together with the law firm Dury Legal Rechtsanwälte, she contributed to the legally compliant design and preparation of the German funding portal and was involved in the contractual drafting of the terms of use. This portal was originally aimed at local authorities and is now also available to companies, with around 1,500 funding programs at EU level.
Ramona is currently writing her thesis on “Evaluation and implementation of measures to prevent subsidy fraud in funding advice,” which she will complete in the fall of this year. Her aim is to provide the Ignite Group with sound insights for strengthening prevention strategies against subsidy fraud in day-to-day business operations.
