Dr. Michael Jung holds a PhD in experimental physics and has a strong background in the investigation of multiphase flows in porous media and the study of turbulent flows of rheologically complex fluids. After completing his PhD in 2015 at Saarland University, he was employed as a postdoctoral researcher at Saarland University and the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPI-DS) until June 2023. From 2010 to 2020, he was part of the ExploRe program, a joint research project between BP plc, the University of Twente, the University of Copenhagen, and MPI-DS, and published the research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Since July 2023, Dr. Jung has been working for Ignite Group Germany as an innovation consultant in the field of national funding programs (e.g., ZIM, IGP, FZul). He has already contributed his technical expertise to numerous projects, e.g., in the fields of polymer engineering and fluid mechanics.
