Luuk is a consultant within the Innovation Team at Ignite Group, specializing in innovation subsidies such as WBSO and MIT, as well as investment schemes like EIA and MIA/Vamil. Additionally, Luuk closely monitors regional funding schemes to maximize all subsidy opportunities for his clients.

Originally a biologist with a broad interest in innovation and policy, Luuk specialized in innovation and policy for strengthening the sustainable economy during his master’s program in Bio Inspired Innovation at Utrecht University. There, he had the opportunity to work on various projects, including sustainable crop production, circular construction, and peatland restoration. After his studies, Luuk worked as a consultant in Waste & Resources and Soil Management. However, he missed contributing to innovation, which led him to transition into subsidy consulting.

With his scientific background, Luuk enhances Ignite Group’s expertise in circular economy, Agri & Food, and Life Sciences. His affinity for innovation and technology also allows him to swiftly adapt to other technical disciplines.

Luuk enjoys bridging the gap between science and subsidy projects, aiming to provide optimal support for clients in their innovation journeys and collaboratively advancing innovations for a stronger sustainable economy.
