After graduating from high school, Joshua Barbie completed his training as a marketing communications specialist at a start-up in Saarbrücken, where he gained comprehensive insights into marketing. There, he expanded his practical knowledge, particularly in the areas of content marketing, social media marketing, and lead generation.
After completing his training, he continued his professional career as a junior sales development representative. In this role, he was responsible for developing inbound and outbound sales strategies to generate sales opportunities. This included analyzing the potential of business sectors to identify target markets, planning, implementing, and analyzing outbound lead generation activities, and developing strategies for inbound lead qualification. He also worked with account executives to develop sales processes.
He then began studying business administration at HTW Saar with a focus on marketing and started working at DORUCON – DR. RUPP CONSULTING GmbH (now Ignite Group) as a working student in sales and marketing. There, he developed and implemented the outbound process together with a colleague and supported various marketing measures, particularly in the areas of content marketing and lead generation.
In August 2023, he started full-time as Marketing Manager, completed his trainer certification in August 2024, and took on the role of Marketing Team Leader in December 2024. He has been Senior Marketing Manager since May 2025. In his free time, Joshua is a passionate basketball player and coach.
