Felix began his professional career as a graduate engineer in electrical engineering. In 2020, he joined the Ignite Group as a consultant. Today, he works as a senior consultant and coordinator for national specialist programs and also serves as a quality assurance officer, having completed the relevant training in 2024. His extensive experience in funding programs such as research grants, ZIM, and various national specialist programs makes him an essential member of the team.

Felix expanded his qualifications in automation technology as a postdoctoral researcher at Saarland University in systems engineering. He focused on the modeling and simulation of mechatronic systems and the design of decentralized energy systems, as documented in his thesis “Distributed Energy Systems Layout and Control Design.”

Prior to that, Felix earned his doctorate at the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University in Kaiserslautern (RPTU). His dissertation, “Control of Thermal Comfort via Virtual Sensors,” was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and was his first successful funding application. He also investigated thermal building behavior in the DFG Collaborative Research Center 501.
